A Whole Lot of Love

After I had made the card I shared with you on Sunday I decided to use the other side of that Designer Paper from the Delightful Daisy Suite.

It features one of the new ' In-Colours ', Tranquil Tide, and with Whisper White as a contrast it has a lovely leafy design. 

While the new cardstocks were on my crafty table I thought that Tranquil Tide looked good with another new ' In-Colour' ,Lemon Lime Twist.

Its not a colour combination I would usually use but I was rather taken with it.

I used the Stitched Shape Framelits Ovals to layer up the sentiment, which comes from Special Celebrations Stamp Set, (yes, another sneaky peak from the new catalogue).

I used the the hearts and 'love' word from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies to finish the card.

I was really happy with it and it will find it's way to another continent as part of a swap group I am taking part in.

Delightful Daisies and a Fold Card

Hiya,
Following on from the folded card I made for my Grandson last week I made another one for one of my friends. 

We often craft together so it had to be a special card. I used the Delightful Daisy Designer Paper again and that Daisy punch !

I made a 6"x6" card base and scored the front at 3" and folded it back. I decorated it using two different papers from the Delightful Daisy Designer Paper set. 

I die cut two scalloped circles from the Layering Circles Thinlets and mounted them in the centre of the inside of the card and then lined it up to match on the front panel.

I stamped and punched out three of the daisies from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and after layering them together added it to the circle on the front of the card.

Oooh and that Happy Birthday Die on the inside of the card...to die for ...lol !

So sorry for again teasing you with products from the new catalogue..but aren't they FAB ???

Delightful Daisy Suite Preview

I travelled down to the Kent coast yesterday to visit my Sister. 

It always lifts my spirits to be beside the sea and it was such a beautiful sunny day and I was lucky enough to be able to stroll along the beach.

 One of my other favourite things to do is to sit with someone as we craft and chat and put the world to rights !

I think the card matched the lovely day. 

I used the new Daisy Delights suite, with a fabulous set of Designer Paper, the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and the Daisy Punch. I also used some of the new cross-stitch ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

As always the Designer Papers co-ordinate with a selection of the Stampin Up colours and with this card I used Calypso Coral.

For the Birthday Boy

It is my oldest Grandsons Birthday on Sunday, and I have made this card for him. 

I made quite a few cards folded in this way a few years ago and saw a similar type card recently and thought I would try some more to show off Stampin Up's matching Designer Papers.

I have used the Up, Up and Away Designer Paper Stack from the Sale A Bration Catalogue which has now retired and the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set which will be retiring at the end of the month.

I made a 6"x 6" card base in Whisper White and made a fold in the front panel of the card at 3". This then folds back.

I made two matching layered squares starting at 3"x3" and reducing in size and then stamped on the sentiments in Night of Navy.

Glue the inner square on first and then attach the second layer to the front of the card (only the left half) lining it up to match the inside one.

Hope that made sense....I think these cards make a nice change and somehow make the cards themselves seem bigger !

Urban Underground and Beautiful You

Todays project was made from retired product, retiring products and a Stamp set that is carrying over to the NEW catalogue.

I don't know anyone who doesn't love the Beautiful You Stamp Set and I am so pleased that it will be in the new catalogue and I can make more lovely cards with it.

I used a black card base along with one of our retiring In Colours,Watermelon Wonder. I teamed this with one of the papers from the Urban Underground Designer Paper Set. This paper is in a suite of more masculine stamps and dies in the Spring/Summer catalogue but I found that some of these papers work well as a stylish background.

I stamped one of the lace borders from the Delicate Details Stamp Set at  the top and bottom of the paper and layered up the image with the Stitched Shapes Oval Dies. I added one of my favourite sentiments underneath,suitable for many occasions.

The new Stampin Up catalogue will be released on 1st June 2017, full of lovely new stamps and paper. I have my first batch and if you shop

Check It Out...

Following on from my post on Wednesday I would like to share with you the final two cards I made for my Grandson to go in a pack to give to his friends.

Again I used the Party Animals Designer Paper Collection and the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set. With this card I also used the Reverse Words Stamp that was available for free during Sale-A-Bration.

This card features a sentiment from the Love Sparkles Stamp Set. 

The papers and stamp sets I have used on these cards are all retiring on the 31st May.

Use it Up....

Hi Everyone

The other day I dropped my little Grandson off at a birthday party. He happily went into the local village hall clutching his card.....and...hang on ..a shop bought card !!?? What the...??

Is it just me or do us crafters find that friends and family never remember to ask us to supply them with handmade cards ? 

So, with that in mind I went home and was inspired to make some birthday cards to give to my Grandson so that he has a little supply for his friends.

As I am on a mission to use up my retiring designer papers I got out the Party Animal paper and used it with another retiring product, the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set.

All Stampin Up papers are double sided, and just by layering up a few different ones and adding a sentiment you can make quite a selection based on one design.

This card used the same paper and stamp set along with Balloon Punch which is staying with us for another year.

I love to make cards but I love more that I can share them.
