Poodle Smiles with Birthday Memories

So....another New Annual Catalogue must mean a Pootles Blog Hop !!

My lovely upline goes by the name of Pootles and we often celebrate our fabulous team of creativity by having a blog hop. Today's is in honour of the New Annual Catalogue.

When I first saw this pattern from the New Birthday Memories Designer Paper it made me smile so....

This is a quick and easy card to make. I used a card base of Whisper White with a layer of Real Red and then a layer of the lovely doggy Designer Paper.

I added a strip of Real Red across the top of the card and layered the sentiment from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set with the Layering Circles framelits with Real Red and Crumb Cake.

I made a little red bow and added a Gold Faceted Gem to finish it off.

I am sure any dog lover would be happy to receive this..I know I would !

Birthday Memories with Crumb Cake

I have lots of birthdays in June and Fathers Day as well. 

This is the card I made for my Brother....yes, a dreaded masculine card ! As I was flicking through my Birthday Memories Designer Paper this one popped out at me.

I used a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Basic Black with a top layer of the designer paper....just gotta love that little chef !

I stamped the sentiment from Special Celebrations on to some Whisper White and die cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits and inked around the edge with Crumb Cake. I added a second oval in Black and mounted them on a little Black banner strip.

And because it was so beautifully simple I did the inside to match.

The Special Celebrations Stamp Set has lovely sentiments for all occasions, one for the front of your card and then a matching one for the inside. Such a good investment.

New Catalogue Swaps

One of my lovely team members recently organised a New Catalogue Card Swap. It is always so nice to see what other people are doing with the same products that you have and we all share on social media, but nothing beats receiving a hand made item in the post !

I had to make six swaps. I made them all the same but in different colours.

I used all the new In-Colours and one in Real Red...cos I like it !

They are nice and easy cards. A Whisper White card base with a Basic Black layer is topped with two Stitched Shape framelits with three daisies on top.

I made a little strip to go across with little flowers from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and a tiny sentiment from the Tabs for Everything Stamp Set.

And the best bit is that I will receive six different cards in return.

Farewell Wishes with Butterfly Basics

I said goodbye to a work colleague last week when she moved to another Branch. She is a lovely lady from Thailand and always made me laugh with her confused English. She called me an assortment of names and I usually ended up being Lolly or Lola.... I shall miss her. 

I made this card for her with the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set. It is such a useful set with a couple of lovely sentiments and many background stamps. So after my last post used LOTS of products this one only used one Stamp Set some card and some inks.

I made the card from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped with Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I finished it off with some Linen Thread to add some extra interest.

She was so pleased with it and very impressed that I had made it myself.

It really is a lovely delicate Stamp Set worth adding to your collection.

Pretty in Pink

When I sat down to do some crafting I felt in a 'pink' sort of mood....not my go to colour but I thought I would head for the new Powder Pink for today's card.

First I must apologise...I did use rather a lot of products for this card but once I started I knew what I wanted it to look like and was on a roll with stamp sets and scissors flying around !

I used the new In-Colour Powder Pink for the card base and added a layer of the Fresh Florals Designer Paper in the same colour.

I die cut a Stitched Shape Framelit Circle and stamped the sentiment from the new Special Celebrations Stamp Set and layered it on one of our delicate white doilies that I sponged in Powder Pink. I had inked around the edge of the circle and stamped with a background stamp from the Timeless Textures Stamp set.

The leaves came from the Remarkable You Stamp Set and the flower is a shape from the Eastern Palace Set that I fussy cut and shaped. I finished it off with one of the new Faceted Gems...so sparkly...!

I think this card shows that if you start with a good colour and beautiful paper you can use products you have to build a lovely card.
