Animal Expedition Age card

Hello everyone,

Well it's a lovely sunny day here in Kent ...at last.

I am sharing a fun birthday card today that I recently made for my Grandson who had reached the grand age of 7.

animal expedition, age card, stampin up

I hadn't used the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper much at all but it was just right for this project.

I made a square card which is almost 6"square and layered the fab crocodile paper onto some Tranquil Tide cardstock. I left a gap in the middle for the age and used the Letters For You dies  to cut out the letters in Lemon/Lime Twist and Real Red to give a shadow.

The 'happy birthday' is from the really useful Well Written Framelits Dies. If you pair these with the Well Said Stamp Set you have words for every occasion.

This bundle is in the the current Spring Summer Catalogue and I really hope they carry over into the new Annual catalogue.

Just a mention too that Sale A Bration ends on 31st March 2019 so if you want to take advantage of the free products or the wonderful joining offer ....hurry up! More details are a bit further down.

Happy Stamping

Bloom by Bloom Thank You Cards

Hello, hello,

Been off the radar recently suffering from that horrible flu virus...coughing aching and generally feeling sorry for myself.

While I was getting back on my feet I went away on a short break to celebrate my birthday. had a nice peaceful time and didn't have to cook !!!

So now that my crafty mojo has returned, I have made some Thank You cards for the lovely gifts I received.

Bloom by Bloom Thank You Stampin Up

I made a card base from Crumb Cake cardstock and added a layer with Blueberry Bushel.

The top layer is Very Vanilla. I masked off an area with a post it note and then used the Bloom by Bloom Set to stamp a random pattern with Blueberry Bushel and Soft Suede inks.

A simple card made with minimal supplies, just add the sentiment of your choice.

Happiness Blooms Card Swap

My Goodness I am fed up with Winter already. We have had some snow here down in the South of England, but it has disappeared fairly quickly. I hope wherever you are it's not too bad.

Bloom by Bloom Stampin Up Birthday

The cards I am sharing today will cheer you up, they are lovely and bright and remind me that Spring MUST be on it's way soon !

Bloom by Bloom Stampin Up Birthday

I made these cards for a card swap with some of my team mates. We do this every time a new catalogue comes out. It gives us lots of inspiration and a chance to see some of the new products we may not have yet.

Bloom by Bloom Stampin Up Birthday

As you can see, I made the cards all the same but used a different paper from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper each time.

Bloom by Bloom Stampin Up Birthday

I made the flowers that decorate the cards with the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack that are part of this Suite. There are four punches in the set, three different shape flowers and one with a flower centre and a leaf shape.

Bloom by Bloom Stampin Up Birthday

I decorated the envelope flaps with the matching flowers from the Bloom by Bloom Stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Hello Cupcake, FREE when you spend £45.

Hope these cheer up your day.

Happy Stamping

Hello Cupcake, Pootlers Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Hiya,

Here we go with our second Pootlers Blog Hop, this time showcasing the Sale-A-Bration products. You earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration item every time you spend £45 in either of the current catalogues.

Whenever I take part in these blog hops, I know my team mates are going to come up with some fantastic projects so I have to produce something special.
This time instead of thinking outside of the box I thought about inside the box.

I used The Hello Cupcake Stamp Set to make my project along with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets and some of the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to send special birthday wishes to a friend and so I made use of one of the Acetate Boxes from the main catalogue.

I lined the box with some of the Foil Sheet and popped into the box a pack of Pud in a Mug. These little packs make a cake in a cup or mug just by adding  milk, stirring and popping in the microwave. Of course I had tried one out beforehand ......lol

I made up the card and attached a little candle and holder to pop into the cake once made.

The back of the card I slid into the box or you could of course pop it into an envelope and add it to the box.

This is a lovely Stamp Set to have in your crafting stash, not only are the cupcake stamps very versatile, I love the sentiments and all for free !

I am sure some of my team mates projects will be using this stamp set too, so please have a hop around for some crafty inspiration.

Happy Stamping

Tea Room Suite Note Card Holder Tutorial

Hiya,

I have had a lot of interest in my Note Card Holder from my post here, and a tutorial has been requested....so here it is.

I used the Tea Room Suite papers again and Rich Razzleberry as the base this time.
This holder is designed for 6 Stampin' Up! notecards and envelopes. The envelopes measure 5 1/8 inches x 3 1/8 inches.

Using chipboard or sturdy cardboard cut
2 pieces that measure 6 1/2 inches x 4 1/2 inches
and 1 Piece that measures 6 1/2 inches  x 1 inch

and place onto a sheet of A4 card stock in your chosen colour as shown.

Ensure you have at least an 1/8th inch between the pieces for the spine.

Once you are happy with the positioning then lightly mark round the pieces with a pencil and then glue into place following the markings with your chosen adhesive. I prefer to use Tombow.

Leaving a gap of 1/8th inch from the corner edges of the chipboard, cut off the corners as shown, to enable you to fold the edges of your folder in and have nice sharp corners.

and using a bone folder lightly press around the chipboard and then glue and fold the card inwards to stick to the chipboard.

Using your bone folder gently score down either side of the spine and gently fold inwards.

Cut a piece of card stock to measure 10 1/8 inch by 6 3/8 inch and glue to cover the inside.

Once again gently score down either side of the spine with your bone folder and gently fold inwards.

Choose your ribbon and with the holder in a closed position affixit to the centre of the back and front of the holder.

Choose a contrasting colour for the first layer of your front and back cover.
Cut to 6 inches x 4 inches. Cut your selected paper to 5 3/4 inches x 3 3/4 inches.

Glue these layers to the front and back of your folder securing the ribbon.

Decorate as required.

For the two pockets inside the holder cut two pices of card stock measuring      5 3/8 inches x 3 3/4. Using a scoreboard score at 3/8 of an inch and 3/4 of an inch on both the short sides and on one of the long sides.

Cut as shown and fold in the edges.

Put a small piece of tape as shown, marked with an 'X' and fold in the edges
to form the pocket making sure your corners are straight.

Place tape around the edges and affix to the inside of your folder.

Decorate the front pockets, I trimmed down some of the Memories and More cards to 4" x 2 3/4" and used those. I only glued around 3 edges so you can use them as a pocket.

I then used the Memories and More Card Pack to decorate the Note Cards.

I hope this is clear to follow and you have fun making yours.

Tea Room Suite Notecard Holder

It was a friends birthday recently and she loves to give hand made cards. As she isn't an avid crafter I thought it would be nice to gift her a set of cards.

I designed and made this Note Card holder with the Tea Room Speciality Designer Papers.

These papers are so pretty and of course we have matching cardstock, ribbons and  a Memories and More Card pack.

The Memories and More Card packs have many uses, Scrapbooking, Journalling or for quick cards. I used a couple of these cards on the front of the holder.

I also used Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry cardstock to make the holder and decorate the Very Vanilla Note Cards.

I made the three Birthday cards using some retired toppers with a sentiment from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.

The three Thank You cards were decorated with a topper made from the Layering Circles Framelits and a Copper embossed sentiment from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set.

I used the Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack to both decorate the cards and to secure the holder.

I love the way this turned out and will definitely be making some more and of course you can also provide refill cards.

All My Love Designer Paper Card

Wow ! What a fun team blog hop we had on Saturday...39 of us took part sharing fabulous inspiration for the new products in the Spring/Summer catalogue that launched on 3rd January. If you missed it, pop over to Saturdays blog and have a look.

Today's card uses some current, some new and some retired !

The patterned paper is from the All My Love Designer Paper Series teamed with Calypso Coral cardstock. I've used the Foliage Frame Framelits to make the wreath along with Layering Circles dies. The sentiment is from the Hello Cupcake Free Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in gold to make it a bit more special.

The Tufted Embossing Folder gives the card it bit of dimension and detail is added with one of the new Floral Romance Seals and some Flirty Flamingo Ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack.

I have used some retired Designer Paper as an envelope liner and all the little off cuts...instead of debating whether to keep them or chuck them,I have started using them to decorate the inside of my card.

You get a lovely matching insert and no bits left over !

Forever Lovely Spring/Summer Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Pootlers Spring/Summer catalogue launch Blog Hop !

This really is a great catalogue and I can't wait to see all the projects my fabulous teamies have come up with....

I chose to make my project using products from the Forever Lovely suite.

The Lovely Flowers matching Edgelits Dies cut out this beautiful border.

The All My Love Designer Series Paper has 12 different designs.

I used one of the patterned papers for the front of the card and the Lovely Lipstick matching cardstock for the inside of the card so that it shows through the border.

used the Layering Ovals Framelits to make the topper and
heat embossed the sentiment with Copper Stampin Emboss Powder and  added some Enamel Dots. I was so pleased with how this turned out that I made another with one of the Tea Room Speciality Designer Series Paper

Don't forget that until 31st March for every £45 you spend, you can get a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

So....... if you purchased the Forever Lovely Bundle, (the Stamp set and Edgelits I have used here ) you could get 8 FREE 12"x 12" Foil sheets in Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick that would match this project beautifully.

Please hop around all the other projects by clicking on the names below for more inspiration.
