Wedding Card Swap

I recently made a wedding card for a swap group I was in. I decided to go with a masking technique we tried at my recent craft weekend. I used a Whisper White cardstock base and a Sahara Sand layer.

Paperjay Crafts, Jar of Love, Special Celebrations, Stampin Up

The top layer is also Whisper White. I die cut a circle from a post it note and placed it centrally on the top layer. I then used small stamps from the Jar of Love Stamp Set in Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand inks to stamp all around the circle. Once you remove the post it note you have a lovely blank circle to stamp a greeting in.

The greeting I used comes from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set. It's a really useful set with sentiments you can match from the front of your card with the inside. I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the top two layers and mounted it on the base with dimensionals.

I must thank my lovely teammate Janice Thomson for the inspiration for this card and her make and take at our craft weekend...those cards were...shhhh...christmas cards !! I haven't got a good photo of them at the moment but I will share with you another day.

Happy Stampin
