Hello My Crafty Friends

Well 2018 comes to a close and time to reflect on the year just past and the one to come. I don't as a rule make resolutions as I rarely keep them and every day is a new start!

But I do have some plans to put in place, some decluttering to do...not sure quite how that's going to work in the craft room and maybe a career change.

But for the time being I will share this card with you. It was for a crafty friends birthday and I used the lovely Natures Poem Designer Paper along with a stamp and die from the Rooted in Nature Bundle. I also used one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders and a sentiment from Stitched All Around.

I'm not a purple fan but I am rather taken with the lovely returning colour Blackberry Bliss especially matched here with Petal Pink.

Of course the New Year brings with it the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue with lots of truly wonderful new products, and along with that the annual Sale-A-Bration with free goodies. I'll be back with more details soon.

But for now I wish you a Happy New Year, may it bring you lots of crafting opportunities

Pootles New Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to the new catalogue blog hop !

The images are from the Very Vintage hostess stamp set, I love the flowers and the little bee, I think this set will be used for many more projects.

Picture Perfect Party Paper

Use it up and wear it out !

As the current catalogues come to an end soon, I decided I had to use up all my lovely retiring papers. The Picture Perfect Party Papers are 6 x 6 and I had cut into them for another project and had lots of 2 1/2" strips leftover.

I used the Picture Perfect Stamp Set along with some glimmer paper.

I just love these photograph style papers, so easy to make striking cards.

Amazing Congratulations

Obviously I love to make cards so it's great to have an occasion to make one...any excuse to crack out the paper and scissors.

So when a colleague passed her driving test out came the stamp sets.

I used the Amazing Congratulations Stamp Set which is really useful for all sorts of celebrations and involves triple stamping, easy peasy with the new Stampin Up tool the Stamperatus that is out on the 1st of June in the new annual catalogue.

The lovely paper is the Picture Perfect Party designer Paper. This leaves us at the end of the month so get in quick if you need it.

I think I will make a little stack of these for future events.

Sweet Soiree Birthday Card

The Sweet Soiree Speciality Designer Paper Set is lovely...It is from the Spring/Summer catalogue and so pretty, as well as beautiful patterns the double-sided sheets are all foiled on one side.

The card I am sharing today uses a sheet of this paper along with the Jar of Love Stamp Set and dies. They make such nice flowers and foliage and I am pleased to say that this set carries over to the new catalogue.

I thought I would try a different style of card today....it was a bit tricky getting the cut out bit in the right place but once you get the hang of it I think it makes for a nice change.

We only have until the end of the month now to get a lot of the products in the current catalogues and then the new one is out on the 1st June !!

So much fab new stuff in it along with new and returning colours !!

Lots of Happy Card Kit

Hi. Sorry I've not been back to share the rest of the cards from this kit.

I had a nasty bout of food poisoning which dragged me down a little and then a bit of babysitting the grandsons in half term.

And last weekend I was away in Telford for Stampin Up On-Stage. This is where we get together to see all the new products and the brand new catalogue !!

Wow...lots of great new stuff heading this way !

But for now back to the fabulous Lots of Happy Card Kit. I sort of stuck to the rules for the rest of the kit and had lots of fun colouring in with all different mediums to get a lovely rainbow of colours. 

I am pleased  to report that this set has carried over to the new catalogue so once you have bought the kit you can buy the refill pack too and make the cards all over again in even more colours.

And of course you have the stamp set to use on another other projects you make, and there are some really useful ones in there.

I have used some sentiments from the Eastern Beauty Stamp Set...because I just love the font and they were more suited for my requirements for this little set.

This are lovely little cards that will come in useful as gift tags.

And these are little notelets, once again I have used the Eastern Beauty sentiments.

I so enjoyed colouring these in and think I will separate them into their colours and tie them with a matching ribbon as little gift bundles.

Lots of Happy Card Kit, Alternate Thank You Card

After all the excitement of Sale-A-Bration...yes it's over now for another year, we are back to the fabulous stuff in the Annual and Spring Summer catalogues again.

There are loads of fabulous kits in both catalogues and they are great if you have lost your mojo or are starting out in card making.

You can use the Lots of Happy card Kit with any colouring medium you have to hand I used the Watercolour Pencils that come in the kit and some of  the new Stamping Blends.

These cards aren't made from the ideas in the set . I'm a bit naughty when given a set if instructions and like to mix it up a bit, so although I made the cards up nearly as directed, I pinched one of the bunches of flowers to make these additional four cards. Even better value !

I love these cards and I had fun with a bit of doodling and of course you can add any sentiment you like on them.
