So Many Stars, the last of the Christmas Cards...

I got to this fabulous new bundle a little late in the game but I LOVE it and I think you will too.

The great thing about it is you can use the dies for birthday cards all year...who wouldn't want to be a birthday star ? This is going to be great for male cards.

I went for Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver for this first one and added in some Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

You can fussy cut the sentiment so that it can fit to any size card better...what a great font that is.

Don't forget you can use all sorts of colours. For this second one I used Real Red with Very Vanilla and Gold, I often forget that Very Vanilla gives such a different look to your cards and makes a nice change from Whisper White.

You can also use this set to decorate the Stampin' Up ! Baker Boxes. Don't they look fabulous decorated in Silver and Gold ?

I'll be back after Christmas with the InspireInk Blog Hop on the 28th and then sharing the New Mini Catalogue full of Super Duper new stuff in the New Year.

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas

Happy Stamping

Tea Together and Forever Lovely

I've taken a break from trying to finish my Christmas Cards to make a birthday card for one of my friends.

I think the roses from the Tea Together stamp set are just gorgeous and I stamped them with Versamark and embossed them with the Copper Embossing powder. I used my Rococo Rose Write Marker to colour them in along with an Old Olive Stampin Blend.

The sentiment is one of my favourites from the Forever Lovely Stamp Set.

Thanks for joining me  and I do wish you a lovely day !

Happy Stamping

Christmas Gleaming InspireINK Blog Hop

Welcome to the InspireINK Blog Hop for November. This months theme is your favourite product from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.....well what to choose ???

My favourite is the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set especially the holly sprig, I just love the arty sketchy look of it !

While I was browsing Pinterest the other day some 'Floating Frame' cards popped up and I was inspired to try one with this holly stamp.

The idea of this technique is to stamp and cut out some images and attach them randomly to a panel of card and then use a product called press'n'seal to keep them in place while you die cut a central panel out and mount the images in a 3d manner with dimensionals.

Well, that was all too much faff for me so after a trial run I decided to mount the images with dimensionals first and then die cut them...had to snip a few bits but it worked just fine !!

I did faff elsewhere though, as there is no matching die or punch for the holly, after I had coloured them with my blends I fussy cut them by hand.

The end result is not one but two rather classy cards. I also used the sentiment from the stamp set.

And of course a nice insert panel..

Not a quick card to make but worth the effort I think. Why not give this technique a go yourself ?

Thanks for joining me today please hop around and have a look at the other inspiring projects.

Happy Stamping

Beautiful Friendship with InspireINK Blog Hop

When I saw the theme in this months InspireInk Blog Hop I knew exactly what Stamp Set I would use...

The theme is Back to Basics. I had to make a project using 1 stamp set, 1 colour of cardstock and ink and 1 punch or die.

I love the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set ...I just can't stop using it !

I used one of the stamps in Mango Melody to make the background paper and the fabulous rose stamp for the top layer.

Instead of using black cardstock as a layer along with Mango Melody cardstock I used a ruler to draw around the Whisper White layers with a black marker pen to make the design pop.

I added a bow made with some of the Crinkled Seam Binding in Crushed Curry, which matched nicely and some Black Enamel Shape dots.

While I had the stamp set out with my inks I made 3 more in different colours.

The Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape cards are 5x7 inch cards.

The Poppy Parade and Pacific Point cards are 6x4 cards.

By making four cards I also got to use all the sentiments in the Stamp Set.

I had great fun making these projects...it goes to show that you don't need lots of products to make great cards.

Please hop around and look at all the other creations for more inspiration.

Happy Stamping

Well Written Thank You Card with Garden Lane Designer Paper

Hello,

Last Saturday was World Cardmaking Day and I had a lovely time in my craft room making cards, sometimes you just need a day to yourself.

I needed a bit of inspiration to get me started so I followed the sketch in the Inspire. Create. Challenge #53.

I made a set of notecards with the Well Written Dies and the Garden Lane Designer Paper, so quick and easy they were done in no time at all and no stamping !

I layered some of the designer paper on a Garden Green background and die cut the stems and the word "thanks" in the same colour.

I placed the word "thanks" face down on an offcut of Whisper White card and traced around it leaving about an 1/8th of an inch all the way round and then fussy cut it out. When you turn this piece of card over and add the die cut it gives it a nicely shaped background.

Daisy Lane and Tasteful Textures InspireINK Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to September's InspireINK blog hop.

This months challenge is in the form of a Tic Tac Toe. I could pick any row, up, down or diagonally from this picture.

After some deliberation I chose the vertical line on the left , Gold, Balmy Blue and |Smoky Slate and this is the card I made.

I stamped the damask image from the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set in Whisper White Craft Ink randomly onto a panel of Smoky Slate. After that I ran it through the Pinewood Plank 3D Embossing Folder which gives a textured wood finish.

I added some interest by inking around the edges of the Panel with Smoky Slate Ink.

I stamped the same image in Balmy Blue on some Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

This is such a great sentiment...my crafting time definitely makes my soul happy !

I stamped and punched both sizes of the daisies from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and layered them up...they make such lovely dimensional flowers and added a Gold Faceted Gem to the center

Some Vellum leaves, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a bit of retired gold sequin behind the flower finished it off.

I think this turned out to be a really pretty card and would look great in lots of  different colourways.

As always have a hop around at my crafty pals projects they are all there to inspire you.

Happy Stamping

Monster Bash Pop and Twist Halloween Card

Hello there, welcome to the Pootlers New Catalogue Blog Hop

For this blog hop I thought I would make a project using the fun Monster Bash Designer Paper from the 2019 Autumn/Winter catalogue.

I really enjoy making Pop and Twist cards, they are great for a special occasion card and I have made a few recently for special birthdays.

I have never 'done ' Halloween...it wasn't such a big thing in the UK when my children were young but I do love all the papers and products that arrive at this time of year and enjoy  making something with them.

This pack of designer paper has lots of spooky paper and because they are all double-sided, some that you can use any time of year, you can see some more of them in the background of the photos.

One of the papers has a a gallery of halloween creatures and I used these to make a gallery inside the card. I have also used the Detailed Bands dies...I just adore these..so pretty and versatile, as frames both on the inside and the front.

I have used some of the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in Crushed Curry and a tag from the Tags Tags Tags bundle on the front of the card and .

This set has stamps and tags for Halloween, Christmas and looking ahead, Valentines Day !

Thanks for looking today. I hope you have enjoyed my project and will hop around to see what my team mates have made.

Have fun and Happy Stamping

Magnolia Lane Wedding Card- InspireINK Blog Hop

Hello,

Magnolia Lane Wedding Card Detailed Bands Dies Stampin Up

Well I'm back from my holidays just in time for this months InspireINK blog hop with a wedding theme.

Even though I missed my crafting while I was away my mojo has deserted me in the heat so it was good to have a reason to knuckle under and make this card.

Magnolia Lane Wedding Card Detailed Bands Dies Stampin Up

I chose a Crumb Cake and Petal Pink colourway to go with the matching colours in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

Magnolia Lane Wedding Card Detailed Bands Dies Stampin Up

I used the Detailed Bands dies and  a sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set, it is so suited to a wedding card and such a pretty font.

I added a flourish with a bow from the gorgeous new Organdy Striped Ribbon and added a die cut heart and a Bird Ballad trinket. A couple of matching sequins finished off my pretty card.

Thank you for looking today...I hope you like my project. Please hop around and have a peek at all the others, they are sure to be fabulous !
