New Beginnings

Hello Crafty Friends,

 Well its been a while.....

I fell off the crafty wagon a few years ago now, I kept cardmaking but stopped sharing.

So now I'm happily retired with more time, I'd love to connect again with like minded people.

I've jumped  back into the Stampin' Up! world because while I have bought other products none of them are quite the same as the lovely matchy, matchy stuff Stampin' Up! provide.

Also the joining up offer on at the moment was too good to resist, all the new In Colour goodies for free !

Are you the same ? Want a new crafty start ?

I would love to be in touch with crafty friends old and new.

Don't know if this blog has any reach anymore so do let me know if it pops up on your radar !

Please pop over to my Facebook and Instagram profiles and follow along...they're looking a bit unloved.

Happy Stamping

Dressed to Impress InspireINK Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this months InspireInk Blog Hop.

This months challenge is a sketch, I really hope you enjoy the projects

.

I wanted to use the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set as I just love the perfume bottle image and thought it would work well with this sketch.

I had some of the gold edge envelopes that I treated myself to from the retiring list and used one of these to make this lovely elegant card. Doesn't black and gold go so well together ?

I made a layer with the Scripty 3d Embossing Folder, this added some interest to the background and then fussy cut some matching perfume bottles from the Best Dressed  Designer Series Paper .

I added a swoosh of Crushed Curry ink and then stamped and die cut the Parfum bottle image to go over the top and added a little bow with some retired ribbon.

I finished with the raised sentiment and some Rhinestones jewels.

Do have a hop around and see what my team mates have done with this sketch.

Thanks for visiting today.

Best Dressed Suite

Hello Everyone hope you are all keeping well.

I'm here for my weekly round-up of the cards that I have been sharing on Facebook and Instagram this week.

I have been using the Best Dressed Suite this week. It took me a little time to get to it but it really is a fabulous girly set, with lots of lovely floral papers too.

I made two cards at a time and these first two I paired with Blackberry Bliss. All the cards this week are half an A4 sheet folded in two.

I love the perfume bottle and the flowers, they both come with  matching Die's and I had a lovely calming time colouring them in.

The next two are bright and bold ! The colour is Lovely Lipstick...how fitting.

I fussy cut out the shoes from the designer paper and used some dies from the Stitched All Round set.

The last two are some more of the fabulous paper and the Detailed Lace dies,in a stylish black and white with a pop of colour using Lovely Lipstick and Mint Macaron.

The designer paper has lovely images you can fussy cut. the Stitched So Sweetly Dies made a lovely sentiment topper....

...and the Delicate Lace Edgelit Dies added a beautiful detail.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I may have tempted you into trying this fabulous suite for yourself.

Meanwhile I shall carry on enjoying my crafty quarantine. Stay home and stay safe.

Timeless Tulips

Hello Everyone

If you follow me on Facebook you will know that I have been sharing cards  made with The Timeless Tulips Bundle this week.

With the current rules of staying at home, I have had more time to craft...look for the positives !!

I must admit that at first I struggled to get the layout of the punched images right until I found a card on Pinterest that set me in the right direction. Unfortunately there was no link or name so I cannot give credit..but HUGE thanks, maybe this post will be of use to you too !

The Timeless Tulips Bundle consists of a Stamp Set and Punch, you can buy them separately if you wish...but why would you ?? And, by buying the bundle you make a saving of 10%.

Anyway onto the cards....I used the same layout for them and changed the colours. I went for
Highland Heather...

Daffodil Delight....

They really are so easy to do, just stamp your image, punch it out and attach to your card with some dimensionals. I also made a notelet size version in Real Red.

You can change this layout again to a square card as I did for the  Mothers Day card for my Mum. I had to leave it on the doorstep with some flowers in the present climate.

This one is in Calypso Coral her favourite colour at the moment.

Amongst all the madness going on at the moment my cardmaking is keeping me sane and calm, so sign up to my e mail alerts and give me a like on Facebook to see  my projects with the Best Dressed Suite next week.
