Flirty Flowers, Grand Finale !

Hiya, well it's my final week on the Design Team showcasing the Flirty Flowers Stamp Set. This week I have chosen to use the Poppy Flower in the set. I didn't want to go with red and thought it might be a useful stamp for a more sombre occasion.

I made the card base with Dapper Denim cardstock and added a layer of Whisper White and then heat embossed the poppy and sentiment with White Embossing Powder onto a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Paper Stack. The sentiment is from the Sunshine Sayings Set ... a sentiment in there for all occasions!
I added a wrap of Denim Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I had cut down the wood paper to practise my heat embossing on and as it came out well, I used that to make a second card.

I used a sentiment from the Better Together Stamp Set this time and scored lines above and below the wood paper layer to make a clean and simple sympathy card.

I have so enjoyed using this versatile Stamp Set and look forward to being on the Design Team again in the future. Can't wait to see what Stamp Set will feature next month !

Happy Stampin

Berry Burst, Foil Frenzy,Birthday Card

Today's card is a dazzling little number made from the fabulous Foil Frenzy Speciality Designer Paper.

I actually managed to take a photo that shows how lovely and shiny this paper is! It comes in four different colours all of which are part of Stampin Up's colour range so they have matching cardstock and inks.

I used the Happiest of Days Stamp Set  to stamp the main image and the lovely sentiment is from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set.

I mounted these with the Layering Ovals Framelits and the beautiful matching ribbons along with the Glitter Enamel Dots finished the card off.

Off now to make some more in the other colourways. these are so handy to have on standby !

Flirty Flowers, Honeycomb Hat Box

Hiya, back again for Week 3 on the Pootles Design Team featuring the stamp set Flirty Flowers.

This weeks inspiration came from a shopping trip where a small bottle of bubble bath caught my eye. I was originally going to make a box for it but then remembered a lovely set of 'hat boxes' made by the lovely Anne-Marie at Traigh Papercrafting. So today you are getting two Pootlers for the price of one !

I must confess that I did make life difficult for myself by using cardstock instead of paper and not only one layer but two !

I used Whisper White for the base , and I then stamped an image from the stamp set onto a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and used the Basic Black Write Marker around the edge. I then ran it through the Big Shot in the Hexagon Embossing Folder...not too clear in the photo I'm afraid.

I added this panel to the base and made up the Hat Box and followed the same procedure to make the lid.

I stamped and coloured the lovely bee image from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp set and attached to the side of the box with some dimensionals. I also stamped and punched the fabulous Daisy from the Daisy Delight bundle to finish off the lid along with a gold faceted gem.

I really love this little box and will definitely be making some more. There are full instructions over at Traigh Papercrafting Facebook Page...have a go for yourself....hint....use paper...lol

Pootles New Catalogue Blog Hop, Merry Cafe

Hello , back again for a Pootles Blog Hop !

The brand new Autumn/Winter catalogue came out on the 1st September and as always us Pootlers love to get together and show off all the lovely New Products in a blog hop. So Hello..this is my project.

paperjay crafts, merry cafe

I love the Coffee Cafe set in the Annual Catalogue, so had to get the Merry Cafe to go with it. I recently took part in a New Catalogue Card Swap with some members of my team and this is the card I made for them.

The colours have such an Autumnal feel , which has arrived rather quickly I might add and I would love to try a Pumpkin Spice Latte...can we get them in the UK ???

I made the card base in Very Vanilla with  a Soft Suede layer under a pattern from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper Pack.

I used the stamps from the Merry Cafe set to make the Coffee Cup and the matching framelets to die cut them out. There is a great ridged die to make the wrap...you can just about see it in the picture. the pattern on the cup is a little leaf stamp from the set...isn't it lovely ? I think I will use it a lot.

Thanks for visiting today. Please pop along to the next blog my lovely teammate Jillian for some more fabulous ideas and inspiration for the new products.
