Flirty Flowers, Honeycomb Hat Box

Hiya, back again for Week 3 on the Pootles Design Team featuring the stamp set Flirty Flowers.

This weeks inspiration came from a shopping trip where a small bottle of bubble bath caught my eye. I was originally going to make a box for it but then remembered a lovely set of 'hat boxes' made by the lovely Anne-Marie at Traigh Papercrafting. So today you are getting two Pootlers for the price of one !

I must confess that I did make life difficult for myself by using cardstock instead of paper and not only one layer but two !

I used Whisper White for the base , and I then stamped an image from the stamp set onto a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and used the Basic Black Write Marker around the edge. I then ran it through the Big Shot in the Hexagon Embossing Folder...not too clear in the photo I'm afraid.

I added this panel to the base and made up the Hat Box and followed the same procedure to make the lid.

I stamped and coloured the lovely bee image from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp set and attached to the side of the box with some dimensionals. I also stamped and punched the fabulous Daisy from the Daisy Delight bundle to finish off the lid along with a gold faceted gem.

I really love this little box and will definitely be making some more. There are full instructions over at Traigh Papercrafting Facebook Page...have a go for yourself....hint....use paper...lol

Happy Stampin
